Red brick repair

Hi guys,

just returned from a 3 week shoot in Chile. We had a problem with one of our bricks there. It couldn´t be loaded anymore after it worked without problems.

I don´t know what happened, but the LED´s don´t show anything anymore and the loader - well - just doesn´t load that brick.

There seems to be only a limited guarantee on the bricks and ours is off guarantee by now. We´ve been informed RED doesn´t repair bricks.

Does anyone know of a Europe based company which does repairs like that ? Preferably in Germany ?

You can buy a kit from Switronix to replace the contact block.

contact Switronix, they can help you on that.

One thing, check your negative contact from the brick. Anything unusual ? You might try to clean that up in case the surface is melted for temporary solution.

Hard to say Frank. You need to open it up and measure it out to check what's wrong.
