Hi Ketch - I'm slightly confused. Is the Edit Vault credit for buying the RED Rocket™ card through Maxx - or is it for buying the Mobile Rocket itself?

If we have bought one of the Rocket cards already, is it fairly easy to install in the Mobile Rocket? As easy as it was to install in my computer?

And - is this different from Launchpad? Or does it have these same features? will Maxx be listing the feature set and advantages any time soon? It seems from this thread, as if Launchpad is a different product...but, since Peter seems to be affiliated with the development of both products, it isn't clear to me why I would purchase one over the other (except for the fact that Mobile Rocket seems available right now).

I can see from his post why I would choose Launchpad over Magma, but what will be the feature set differences between Launchpad and Mobile Rocket? Any ideas?

I have a lot of questions...!

    My pleasure Kwan.

Meryem, this is a unique and different Casing for the RR, vs. others, and it has nothing to do with either one, this deal is offered exclusively and directly by Ron of Maxx Digital.

Please call him up at Maxx Digital, He will also reply shortly here, so that He can respond to some more specific questions.

    Hello
The credit is for buying the RED ROCKET from Maxx Digital and yes it is easy to put in the Mobile Rocket. The big difference between the Mobile Rocket and the Launch Pad as you said is that we are shipping the Mobile now. The main difference is price as we felt that keeping this product below 1K was crucial and I am not sure where the launch Pad will be priced or when it will be shipping as Maxx is not involved with the manufacturing of that product. We are not putting batteries in Mobile Rocket as most sets have power and it adds huge cost to the unit. My guess is that it will be well above 2K.

Key notes are the form factor and the cooling for the most part we just took all the negatives out of the magma and fixed them with the Mobile Rocket. It is also able to go back and forth between the Mac Book Pro and the Mac Pro with an additional kit for Mac Pro so no need to move the card . Deanan and Rob at RED have tested it for days and gave us the thumbs up last week.

Ketch, you still work with Maxx Digital? Can you get deals on RR cards still?

I'll shoot an email to Ron, but just for the record, I never worked for Maxx Digital Will, but Ron is a good friend and I share with the community some of their offerings.

Hey Will I work at Maxx Digital, and just wanted to let you know the RED Rocket is always going to be $4750. We can work with you and give you a discount on another product when purchased at the same time as the RED Rocket, or a credit towards a future purchase. Most of the time people purchase one of our Mobile Rocket units to use with the RR. I'm sure you could use some storage at a discounted price. Send me an email if you are interested in bundling the card with another product for a discount. mattstone@maxxdigital.com

I'm sure I'll need some storage after I fill up this 14TB RAID, thanks for reaching out Matt.
