I was going to just use the Scarlet fixed for corporate type of work and get an S35 for the feature, with primes, etc. But I'm not sure how my business situation will be then, so it may come down to use the fixed Scarlet or rent the RED One...
A 2/3" camera with a long range T2.4 zoom lens is something to laugh at?

Sounds pretty feature capable for me.

Shoot, I remember back when Scarlet was ONLY fixed lens and Jim was bragging about it smoking a F23's ass.

Sure it won't be as popular for feature and commercial work as the S35/FF35 Scarlets, but it'll still make some fantastic images.

By F23 do you mean this? http://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/cat-bro...a/product-F23/

If so, then that's REALLY sad... $150,000 camera beat by $3750 one? And Scarlet does 3k AND up to 120 FPS...

How the hell does RED do it? I'm impressed!

Ha ha. You can't compare a $150K existing, proven in the field camera to a $3750 spec sheet.

When the 2/3" Scarlet comes out, I'm sure the comparison will then be feasible and appropriate.

Well I did see the footage of Izzy, and that is quite promising... but it is just ONE shot, and shot by them of course... so I agree let's all wait and see :D

I for one will not buy a camera, or any camera unless RED or someone else makes some raw footage shot in different situations available for download so I can really check it out first… I don't think that's too much to ask.

Ikonoskop made a "like 16mm" camera that shoots full hd raw. There's a short video on the site but dunno if anyone has already seen this gear !

    Has Red forsaken us?

No news on fixed lens Scarlet in recent months at all.

    You'd think they'd say something.

The "Izzy" shots weren't "fixed lens" were they?

Show us the lens, at least.
