  1. #1 Installing Latest Build
Hi Guys I need your help here we've just received our camera a few days ago and we are expecting the battery anytime soon...

but i have some questions here so help me out

    - does a brand new camera comes with a build installed on it or it has nothing installed on it and you install the latest build directly or do you have to install the previous builds before to get to the latest one right now?

    - how do you do install it with the right procedures?

    - and if there's a build on it lets say build 17 do i have to install build 18 then build 20 or install build 20 directly?

I know the questions seems really silly :S but please bare with me

If you just got your camera, it should be pre-loaded with latest build firmware (build 20).

A brand new camera comes with the latest release build installed, right now v20.1.3.

Upgrading procedure: site 89, Appendix A in the manual is your friend :-) get it here: http://www.red.com/support. Do a black shading calibration after the upgrade.

You can go directly to build 20.
