Jim,

On the eve of another big announcement, I'd like to thank you for one thing. Not for the RED or the Scarlett, or the Epic. Not for the excitement of a new product release nor the vision you emit. I'd like to thank you for sharing all of the knowledge and talent of your employees and this boards' members with me.

I've lurked here since you started posing questions and ideas on dvxuser and started this board. I've learned so much from the technologists (left brain) and artists (right brain) that frequent this online community. Some of it way over my head, some of the art beyond my imagination, and some of it remaining with me forever. And that is something that the other camera makers of the world just don't offer.

I'll probably never own a Red, but I'll always have what I've learned and absorbed here.

This is deja vu all over again. Its becoming a yearly event.

Its kind of funny to think about how this is the same thing that happened last year, for the exact same product. Hopefully this time next year we're not all refreshing the pages like madmen to hear about RED's new phenomenal vision for Scarlet/Epic that is 1 million times better than last year's vision...

Here's praying for actual release dates to be announced!
