Saw that Cokin now make M-Pro 4x4 and 4x5.6 filters, and at a very competitive price (about 30 dollars per 4x4).

Has anyone used these and can share his/her experiences with them?

(Apologies if this has been answered before; I did a search on reduser, that yielded 0 hits. Tried again with the help of google, and there I only found and one about using the IR filter from Cokin.) threads dealing with light weight filter holders

O.K., I managed to confuse myself. While the Z-Pro filters are indeed 4x4 inches and around 30 bucks, they are made of plastic.

The new resin/glass filters that Cokin now makes, are confusingly called "M-Pro" and are not that easy to find online. (I only found a dutch website offering these filters for twice what a comparable Tiffen filter would cost.)

So, let me rephrase my previous question: Are there any quality glass ND 4x4 filters available in the sub $100 range?

Hmm... Cokin says the Z-Pro filters are made of glass.

Each square filter is in CR39® glass.
Doesn't anybody on this forum have experience with these Cokin filters?

A bad filter can really degrade your image. After spending 20+K on a cam and then more on lenses, I always feel I'll spend a bit extra and get good filters.
