Oh please let those Canon and Nikon mounts be PL-style locking mounts like the ProLock Nikon mount.

Correct.. both are double locking, the traditional lock ring with an added PL-Style lock-ring to lock everything down nice and tight.

2. The Stage Three option has a smaller LCD than Stage Two. If we paid the price difference at purchase, could we have the 5" LCD instead?

Same question here :
Can we add $700 and get the 5" LCD instead of the tiny 2.8" LCD on the stage 3 option ? I believe a lot of people will wanna do that.

A similar question would be : can we choose to get the Pro I/O module instead of the base I/O module if we pay the price difference ?

And by the way, what are the differences between those two I/O modules ?

Motion tracking data to help interface with CG. Doing it via optics is expensive and slow, but if you shoot some footage in a green screen studio then the tracking data will tell your 3d software how to move the virtual camera around so the CG scenery lines up with the motion of the real camera. It's a Good Thing.

Well, it's hard to believe that these sensors can be precise enough for this kind of applications (like in 'as precise as a 3D tracking software'), but if they are, then this has indeed some very exciting applications for special FX...

Am I understanding this correctly: RED gives everyone one (1) month to decide which stage they want (if they want) to upgrade and if you don't have the money after that one month then you've lost your opportunity to upgrade? So basically I'll have about a month to find $10.500, $19.500 or $28.000 respectively?

I better start saving up money NOW, then!

I hope the mild increase in price of Scarlet fixed, isn't beyond my affordability range, not that the camera doesn't worth it.

Stage 2 is very attractive, amazing actually. Can we upgrade to a Pro I/O module for an additional 1200$?
How is the Pro I/O different from the Base one?
