Just FYI, I did some housecleaning and removed some of the noise from this thread (including my own - so nothing personal here, just making this thread easier to read for new readers). Some complaints about the Scarlet were moved to http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?p=501711

This is big news for me, as I am considering 4x4" matte box shopping... this means a Genus matte box will work for what I have now, and the fixed 2/3" Scarlet in the future.

The only question is what the RED matte box will be. Any chance it will take 4x4" filters? I'm assuming it would take filters larger than that, but hoping it would have the option of different, smaller size, filter trays.

The Mattebox we revealed TODAY will take 4x5.65 filters and you can use adapters to place 4x4 filters in there.

For the Tattoo customers.. there will be additional accessories available in the TATTOO finish.

Hmmm. This thread keeps getting shorter...do the purged posts go somewhere else? It seems two of my posts were guilty of something...maybe (wrongly) speculating on the purpose of the Red Gunner? But then why post the picture?

I'm guessing Stage 1 won't get past the first 100 customers...maybe up to 300, but beyond that, not likely....those of us in the 4-digit numbers probably won't make the cut...I would be surprised (and elated) if we did...

I might be dreaming but FLUT hopefully means Film Look Up Table.

Choose a film response curve: Kodak 5218, Fuji etc and it takes the linear data off the curve and applies a 3D LUT to emulate any film stock you choose.

Or at least that's what I pray it is. Because I've been asking for that since the REDOne. :D

100-200 tattoos would be my guess too...of course factor in, not every red owner will be going the tattoo route... so theoretically depending on how many pass on it..later serial numbers may get a shot. Anything in the 1,000+ I highly doubt. Just speculating.
