Will the current Red Power cable work with the Epic (Red Quick Plates, ET IDX Plates, etc)?
If Stage One is limited and starts at #0006, what are the chances for someone like me with #5923 to get Stage One?
What happend with this sentence?
"The 15 bit output delivers dynamic range you have always wished for"
I cannot find it and I'm sure that this sentence was in announce thread.
Not everyone is getting Stage one...only a HANDFUL of people SELECTED. You can ask but they have the right to turn you down...it's at the bottom of the Stage One bit...
Basically Stage Two is where its really at...
I love it though...LESS 8,500 and you keep your RED One.
It's pretty much buying a second RED One in a way...plus getting a brand new RED One! Frankenstein is all I'm gonna say for that!
Jim and Team...
10/10 on genius.
Now I need to collect 19,500...WOOHOO!
3 Axis internal motion sensor, built in GPS receiver
So does this sensor also have a compass and Azmuith and Zenith sensors or can it extract the motion data from the 3 axis sensor. Im thinking it may be able to provide pan and tilt metadata also. Would be very good t have. the origional iphone sensor didnt have a compass and was hindered with its applications due to the lack of compass as an example.
I will take a TATTOO camera through some rough winter testing in the mountains of Norway this winter if given the chance!
Otherwise it looks like a sweet deal for all stages!
Looking forward to more!
#476 (The first delivered in Norway)
Hope this doesn't get buried in the noise.
But what's the current boot-up time on the Epic-X? If I understand correctly, the R1 can sometimes take up to 3-4 minutes for a boot-up? Is this problem rectified on the Epic-X and will it be rectified on the S35 Scarlet as well? Sorry if this has been answered before or addressed in a firmware update that I missed. I've tried searching the forums for the last few days and couldn't find anything.
Also, any "ballpark" date on the release of the S35 Scarlet? Not looking for anything specific and understanding that it is always subject to change. However, I would like to know which year I can be expecting to purchase an S35 Scarlet. 2010? 2011? 2012? Again, I understand that it's always subject to change, but I'm sure you guys can estimate which year to expect delivery right?
Details/specs for S35 Scarlet on November 30th?
Thanks in advance. Some exciting times.
Hey guys,
Awesome work. I see some of my suggestions in there which tells me you are listening.
I am hoping with the new processing power in these brains they will be able to generate checksums for each clip that travel with the footage to ensure proper transfers and data integrity end-to-end.
Also I hope each brain or power module has some industry-standard power ports for accessories (with enough current to handle motors and such).
When search is turned off, you can search RedUser using Google by including site:reduser.net in your search. It actually works better than the built-in search and uses Google magic to look for multiple words, etc.
Can't search for it, as don't have the ability, but TED has said before that the start up on the EPIC is almost instantaneous...he might have said it in a video though.
At an educated guess S35 Scarlet in the second quarter of next year. If the EPIC X is probably around January time (as jim stated although the beta testing will obviously affect the release) and Scarlet 2/3" is next in line then it will be after that.
I'm not sure where this idea came from.Is the monitoring from the epic 10-bit or will it be 8-bit like on the red one?
David
The monitor outputs on RED ONE are 10-bit.
EPIC will also support 10-bit.
