Guys I trust if you contact a member of the Bomb Squad directly they will be able to work out a way for you to make your purchase.
I know I had some initial troubles but the Bomb Squad is there to find a solution.

For the sake of posterity on this thread I think we should stick to the subject otherwise others like us will have a hard time sifting through 1400 posts to get the answers they need on the 30th's Announcement.

Obviously I can't speak for Jim or RED, but as I remember when RED Ones were becoming available RED actually required payment via wire transfer past the first $7,500. So you could pay directly via bank wire transfer instead of credit card, assuming that is allowed in your country.

Hi! Of course this it not the place to discuss this. BUT yes, our goverment dont let us have dollars. Is called a "Exchange Control" and the only way to have dollars is by credit card payments and only when you travel (you cant exchange dollar cash, you cant send or receive money orders, you cant buy more than 400 dollars by internet with credt card). It was 5000 dollars 2 years ago and was changed to 2500 this year and once again to be even more restricted this year.

What you wonder is what we suffer. I travelled last year and bought a Sony FX-1000 with 3 credit cards (Girlfriend, mine, and father). If your credit card doesnt work (And it happens because banks reject the card because the goverment dont pay them) you have to pay everything in what we call "Paralel dollar" (Offical Exchange is 2.15 BS 1 dollar. Parallel is 6 B.S. 1 Dollar"). Imagine.

In my case thank good Im working in argentina where I can exchange the Pesos to dollars and save for me to travel and buy the scarlet. Cash or wire transfer. But still it would be good If I can pay part of it with my Venezuelan Credit Card.

(I know this is not the place to talk this, but as being something we suffer and should be known, I felt obligated to clear that out :) That goverment is bad)

I'm pretty sure that it's been said many times that the REDMOTE won't show video on it, so touch focus is pretty much out of the question on it.

I'm dreaming of an iPhone app that'll do that.

You can have full auto or full manual... you choose. But the manual controls are not the same as conventional.

How come? Is is that much more difficult to add another ring on the fixed lens? I'm seriously asking; I do not know.

BTW, the electronic controls is pretty sick. Maybe it'll just take some getting used to (controlling zoom/iris from the handle).

As far as the limit on credit cards, I believe I was told that changed a bit. I paid for our RPP's all with one credit card charge.

Last I heard it's T 2.4 throughout the whole range of the lens. Unless this has changed of course.
