have a question.. Im getting a red one after december... will i be able to send it back when the epic upgrades are available for a censor upgrade..also when i have the sensor upgrade is it just the sensor upgraded or do i get all those nice features like 4k at 125fps and redcode 250 ? thank you

If you buy a RED ONE today, you only qualify for stage 4, buying the brain for $28,000, but you can trade your RED ONE in and get $17,500 off. You don't get the free modules of stage 2 or 3.

EDIT: Either the message above was edited after I replied, or (more likely) I suffered a total brain fart and missed that you were asking about buying a used RED ONE, and I thought you were asking about buying a new one from them today. In that case, I believe I got it right, but for a used RED ONE that was purchased before Oct 30th, with proper ownership transfer done with RED, you should qualify for stage 2 or 3. Jarred, please smack me if I'm getting it all wrong. Again.

The Sensor Upgrade for the RED ONE cameras to the MX sensor will not enable the RED ONE to record at redcode 250, or 125fps.

yes.. its a double lock system. You put the lens in and click turn it like a normal Canon/Nikon mount, and then you turn the external lock-ring to lock everything nice and tight.

Just a quick one Jarred - will the Canon mount support the EFs lenses? They are specifically designed for S35 (they won't fit on any FF35 EOS body) and they go deeper into the mount. My favorite by far is the EFs 10-22 rectilinear - I can't live without that lens...

Not true it says you only qualify for any of the stages if you bought before Oct 30 2009
