But the redmote doesn't come with the camera unless you order it for $550?
Shouldn't it just be factored into the price, and up the price 500 buckaroos?
How can we operate the camera without a redmote?!

I'm probably not buying a REDMote initially. It's cool but I'm thinking about building it out as a DSMC system initially with the side grip and 5" touchscreen. Between the two it should cover everything the Remote handles.Originally Posted by Zac C

I was hoping to hear more about the kit tonight, personally. It was originally stated at $750, but the smallest LCD alone costs $900... I know ESTC, but just wondering.

Bring on the FLUT. I don't know if everyone caught you will have *independent* control over output LUTs. This is huge. I've come to realize If RED doesn't respond to reeeeally long threads where people are bitching, whining, and begging for something it's probably because they are already doing. ;)

I just want to say to RED thanks so much for this announcement. I got what I wanted...the projected costs of the different modules.
Though the prices can seem "expensive" at first sight, these are true investments in that you will be able to use them in the future for a long long time.
Though there are several people that have been vocal on how they think they were mislead, I am really happy you have been open with us since the very beginning of the DSMC's early conception.
I am also glad that you have chosen to define exactly in which market you are filling...the professional's market.
In my opinion, there is only one way I could see you improving today's announcement....
Give a Scarlet S35 Tattoo for $15,000.
Oh man, if I could have that option...oh never mind. I'm just dreaming again.
