    Hi !

We have switched off audio recording on camera. When I export DNxHD QTs via the Rocket and import that into the Avid I get two audio tracks. This makes a lot of troubles when you want to auto sync and so on, because in our projects at the moment we get 16 bit audio files from the audio recordist. how ever, Rocket should not export any audio track if it is switched off on camera. The funny thing is when i open the DNxHD QT file in quicktime player it shows me no audio track. When I import it into the Avid, it shows some....
    Thats really strange....

If I encode the files with Redrushes everything is ok.....

We need here a urgent solution for this problem please....

    thx

    Problem SOLVED !

Dont use Metacheater to create the ALE. It adds two audio tracks at the import. Use the redrushes ALE function and remove the _H extension....

If you want to use MetaCheater then when you open the ALE in your AVID bin you can MODIFY->TRACKS to everything before you import the clips and turn off the audio tracks.
    Problem solved.
If you like using Metacheater then you can go this way, if it doesn't matter then the RedRushes function is cool too.

Why would you export QT when using ROCKET when it creates native DNxHD? Turning off the audio should create an MOS (V only) clip with AAF and ALE.

yes michael, from today on i will export to mxf... the 25p project....

there seems to be a problem with TC in a 24p project... the mxf container counts still 25p TC....

If you still have a problem with grouped clips just mark evrything again after auto syncing and autosync, and you will find that all your grouped clips will turn into sub-clips: do not recommend this with two camera shoots when group clips are needed.

Also the modify suggestion that Jason made works a treat too
