Get used to it, it's just an odd form of marketing, I guess... this is the fifth or so "Punishment and Reward" cycle we've been through over misc footage and stills in a year.

Goes like this...

1.) RED publishes something, anything.
2.) People scream "Thank you! Thank you!".
3.) Minutes later, people complain, "Hey, why isn't it....?".
4.) RED answers back, "We're busy enough as is, guess we'll just go dark".
5.) People reply, "No!!! We're sorry! Damn you others who wanted more!!!!".
6.) RED, "ah, we love you, here you go, more stuff!".

Wash, rinse and repeat every few months.

I've started doing something similar as a behavior training program with my dog.

Works wonders on him.

so sharp. i like that. from that kind of sharpness you can go in any direction or just keep that native surreal look.

my only complaint is frame 35.79 (biplane before takeoff). there's a single frame dip in luma. is that a post/quicktime problem, boris/natascha problem or am i the only one seeing it making my quad g5 the problem?

can i ask a very silly question?

i appreciate this clip- downloading now. but its a bit odd that you're posting footage from an alpha prototype when you've already admitted to improving this picture quality dramatcally in the last few months and you're 2 weeks away from shipping.

boards were respun to reduce noise, rolling shutter reduced. DR improved, FPN gone...... are you saying there is no footage at all from the final production camera that we could see? We havent had a 4K image since all these changes have been made to the Red architecture...

i havent seen this clip before, so its all good to me (looking forward to the 2K post very much).
