Drool... For sure. I may just have to offload my D2X (poor resale as it is, ouch) and go for the upgrade. Full frame at last!!! Lots of other great new features by the looks of it too.

    And don't forget the D300!

I can't wait to make the jump to the D300 myself.

The EXPEED image processing system is at the heart of the D300’s ability to capture and process high definition image data so quickly. The EXPEED system includes both hardware and years of Nikon image processing expertise. The D300 EXPEED system features 14-bit analog-to-digital (A/D) conversion with 16-bit image processing, both of which contribute to delivering results with Nikon’s signature ‘look and feel’ of rich accurate colours, smooth skin gradations and exceptional detail.

Yeah, not too bad! I was about to pull the trigger on a D200, but held off in anticipation of the next model. This is a very nice upgrade if you ask me. I was a little worried after Canon's announcement, but not anymore. Especially with the new lenses. Can't wait and I'm definitely preording this one.

    I own a D100. Will the D300 be a big improvement?

Nikon is the Sh!t man. The reason they have have been "lagging" wasn't because they were dragging their heels, they were in development getting the full frame design correct the FIRST time around.... gotta love how those early full frame Canons vignette.
