I would like to use the following workflow:
1. Creating Prores HQ Clips 720p with Redrushes (eight res, because it's fast)
2. Editing the 720p clips in FCP
3. Create a XML-file for using the cutted clips in Color
And here is the problem: I would like to transcode this XML-file that Color can use the .R3D files insted of the 720p clips.
Is there a solution available. I use Monkey and Clipfinder, but I didn't found this feature.

Best solution is to use the excellent and free program Clipfinder --> http://www.daun.ch/software
Workflow is as follows:
Transcode r3d to prores
edit
export xml
in clipfinder use conform fcp xml --> substitute prores with m or h proxy
import new xml to fcp
send to color (check that r3d is loaded by looking for red room)
check/change geometry
grade and send back to fcp
more detailed workflow info is available through clipfinder help

this tip was great. It works perfect.Is there also a way to create a xml file which is able to use R3D direct in color without going back to FCP?

You don´t need nothing but modify the original folder media in the import dialog screen in color.
this allow color to use original media instead of Prores, you need the FCS Installer from Red of course.

Just import in Color the xml output from Clipfinder.
