    How do you slow down 50 frame footage to play in a 24 frame FCP timeline not just render to fit?
    So it looks properly slowed down

    Did you shoot 50fps or are you slowing down 24? Post isn't clear.

    If you shoot 50 (while in a 24fps project) it will slow down automatically.
