Unfourtuantly I wish I could follow up this post with some footage, but TSN wouldn't be my friend anymore if I did, but I couldn't help but post something about it. The footage was shot on two RED's each with a B4 adapter both rolling at 120FPS. I used a MacPro with a RED Rocket™™™ to output all the footage (270GB) to 1080p Quicktimes encoded with the AVID DnX 220 codec. The footage was shipped to TSN and drops right in to their AVID. Without the RED Rocket™™™ this quick turnaround wouldn't have been possible. The footage with air this weekend as part of the Grey Cup pre-game.

Even though the later footage in the evening was shot at 1600ISO, after some color correction in Rocket Cine, the stuff looks great!

I will ask if I can post something after the footage airs...

    cheers
    Colin

Nice! TSN is a great broadcaster for the CFL and has really helped legitimize the league to the rest of the country. Out here on the prairies we take our Canadian football seriously -to the amazement of fans in the east.

Having specific viz shot professionally with Red will certainly help promote the game to those who see the amazing NFL promo material week in and week out. Obviously there's a ton more cameras at NFL games and a huge budget for promotion...

Dang! If we only had a QB that didn't have tunnel vision there would be some sweet blue and gold R1 footage in the east final (I'm sure they would have blown it against Motnreal).

I'm assuming your content was shot in Regina (west final at night).
