I just saw it - my bad...
So how do I connect the current RED-DRIVE to the Scarlet?
Peter
And while You are here I want to repeat my older question which got most likely lost in the thread:
Jarred, just few question regarding this:
- Does this mean that we can choose?32. Rugged aluminum or magnesium body
- Will there be a price difference?
- How much lighter will be the magnesium version (providing there is one...)?
Thanks buddy...
Peter
Hi Gavin,
I think the idea would be to position the cursor and execute the focus with a button push rather than track a moving object/person. Somehow I don't think I'll be using a stylus in a run and gun shoot. Maybe a modified guitar pick. I don't know but I think this discussion may have reached the limits of usefulness. Until we see how the touch and focus works we really can't judge whether it will be useful beyond predictable, blocked, shots. I hope so and particularly for run and gun...but the proof will be in the pud.

Hey jim I know you said that the S35 scarlet will be able to have electronic control over many manufactures lenses. Right now I have a 7D and was looking to spend some money on some goos zeiss glass I could use for the rest of my life. And now that zeiss is making the Canon based ZE lenses I would like to get those... but they don't have a manual Iris ring. So my question to you would be, when I buy my S35 will I be wishing I had bought the Nikon based ZF lenses with the manual Iris ring or will it be able to control the ZE's I really want? Thanks man you are my hero, for real man it is my hopes to work with or for your company when I finish film school. thanks man keep up the phenomenal work.
