I was hoping I can use my 6' drive cable to connect to the current RED-DRIVE / RED-RAM for extreme light-weight setup (for aerials, steadicam, etc...). For the same reason I was planing to use the battery belt-clip...

I'd love to know this too. If I had to guess, I'm thinking 7.5 - 60mm.

Hey Jarred, Hows about May first if it has to May.

Reason being we get to get our cameras sooner and you get to get a massive bonus on your birthday for the millions of Scarlets that get shifted in that opening month. ;-)

Red Drive module? That's odd... Might it be something as small as the side CF module? A simple port that is missing? Or is it going to be a whole new module in the back? Maybe one that can have the drive physically drop into it?

Well, a 1.8" SSD is pretty darn small, so...

A little off-topic, but how does the EVF play with eyeglasses? I can't see worth beans without my glasses, so taking them off to look through the viewfinder isn't really an option for me. I'm trying to visualize a glasses lens against the EVF rubber without getting all smudgy & distorted ;)

The point here is how to connect the existing RED-DRIVE / RED-RAM that we have already purchased to the new cameras. I was hoping the current (or even new custom) cable will suffice. Obviously I was wrong...

The current EVF can adjust the internal lens to focus on the image - so You can see without glasses. You would of course see nothing the moment You look away... Have You considered contact lenses for when You are going to use it?

Oh, right. That's what I get for skipping the last 30 pages or so, I guess.

Yes, Peter was asking how he'll be able to use his current Red One accessories as they said we would be able to several times. The Red Drives and the Red RAM which are larger. A module that were able to take these inside would be thick.

Maybe the answer is the IO module, and Jarred might have had a typo in all the rush that Red headquarters must be in nowadays.
