Well the announcement was "HDR stills ..." so it'll probably be that way - for now. ;) As time lapse is nothing else than stills that should be possible depending on the time sequence.
Talking about stills: One thing that i can't quite get my hands on is: how does the 2/3" compare to dslrs stills wise. I know it will be a mind blowing cinema tool. But stills? The quality will be more than cool as seen in some stills jarred shot a while ago but the size just might not be. As for the sensor size it compares to the canon g9-11 power shots. So it will probably not be sufficient eg for magazine shoots.
Like to hear what you think. And don't be coming: get a 1D or medium format for stills :) I would just like to know what to expect.
Or any official statements from RED ? scarlet s35 was the smallest to get the DSMC name branded to the specs. so does that mean the 2/3" is not seen as a full dsmc - I know it does support both.
