Red Ray Pro design is too cool. I would even pay to have a non-working mockup of it on my desk :)

Ok - now I really am turning in. I appreciate your views - but I spend by life looking at amazing handheld footage (so I guess that's the gunner option), and ENG cameramen work constantly on and off the tripod. I think what I was getting at was the DSLR ergonomics and those that will shoot video with it like that.

It just looks uncomfortable to me.

    OK - enjoy your mornings/afternoons/evenings.

Great work guys. Just wondering about the roll out plans, who gets what first and RED RAY/digital cinema compatability.

    You guys rock :)
I can understand why you hate HDR, as so much of it looks awful. However, that's because of awful tonemapping techniques that make great photos look like a kid's crayon picture. You can sleep well at night knowing there's no way I'd allow any HDR we do to look like that.

how long can you film on a 16g cf card with the scarlet redcodec 100? is 16g the biggest card? Even better gig per minute?

Some accessories appear to have price ranges different from the Oct 30 announcement. What is this about?

Any idea of pricing for the RED Ray Pro? If it is shipping in 2 months, it'd be great to have an idea of what range this thing is coming in at. Determined yet?

Ah well... Still whoops the ass of any other camera I've seen at that price point... even if I do have to fork out extra for the bottom handle to make it more comfortable...

Hey there's an idea... A bottom handle with nothing in it. Just the empty shell...to help with the form factor... then we can choose to upgrade to a bottom handle that's got some extra capabilities or whatever... modularly.
Agreed. On all points... Have a great day.

Certainly, the competition will have increased in 6 months time, but the $5k fixed lens package still sounds like a winner.
Will Red have mass production Red Scarlet fixed in a reasonable supply to meet demand in June 2010?

I do agree for the money "today" the $5K package sounds good ... My concern is timing, and not being strung along by a manufacturer for another year... be it Red, Canon or Panasonic. Hence why I think Scarlet will likely be a late year rental for me while I buy a Canon to get work done all year 2010 ...

    Jarred- any comments?
