And the fixed lens Scarlet can accept an optional audio module with XLR's?
This is a big factor for me in purchasing a fixed scarlet. I don't want to buy a I/O module until the FF35 release, and I want somthing extremly low profile for a fixed scarlet. There was a mention of an included mic before (I believe by Jarred). I would appreaciate if one of the Red staff could comment on the existence of a REDMic.
There are optional RED button mics that can plug into the front of the camera brain. There was a mention of an included mic before (I believe by Jarred).

Or you can use external microphones; whatever works best for you.
I wasn't certain that the fixed lens Scarlet would work with all of the DSMC modules. This is great news to me.
To the team:
can you shed some light on the implementation of DRM within the Red Ray platform? It seems to me that this is a direct play into the distribution/exhibition market and would love to hear what you might be willing to share. I've been suspectig that an end-to-end cinema pipeline was the end goal all along; am very much looking forward to seeing that come together.
Thanks,
Todd
David Rasberry over at Scarletuser has made a pretty good case for the old 16mm zooms being capable of resolving 3k. The main differences between the old lenses & new 2/3" ENG lenses, for example, are lens coatings & that the quality of the older lenses will depend more on how well they've been maintained, & may require collimation, etc.
New versions of RedCine-X and RocketCine-X just got posted to RED.com. Thank Rob and Deanan :)
