  1. #1 Locations needed: Airport, jail/prison, police headquarters
    Hi all. . .

We're looking quite a ways ahead here, but we are going to be needing a jail/prison, an airport, and police headquarters for our next feature.

Does anyone happen to know of any of these that are readily available without too much expense? (This is, after all, a low-budget film.)

    Thanks very much.

I think you'd have more luck contacting your local/regional film board with this sort of query. They're ALWAYS willing to help and usually have a database of readily availible locations.

Where abouts are you looking to film?

    Thanks, Jamie. . . I'll give that a try.

Realistically, it doesn't matter, so long as the location looks great. We're set in Kansas City, but the locations I'm after could be just about anywhere.

    Thanks!

Quick google search brings up the Kansas City film board website:

    http://kcfilm.com/

If you contact them, you will be suprised just how far they will go to assist you. I've always found the film boards and regional agencies are some of the most helpful people I've ever mate.

Edit: And no problem =] I know how hard it is! I'm in preproduction for an independent short at the moment!
