Purchased this to form a small light package and combine use between my 5dmII and R1. This was mid-October. Now I'm on a different path and want/need to shift direction.
This mount is for those who are aware of the voiding of warranty and upgrade paths when installing the mount. For those with a camera that is already out of warranty and they have no plans to upgrade, want to tuck the mount away for later use (when there may be used and out of warranty R1's in the wild).
For that matter there could be numerous reasons a person would want to take this mount all of which are not my business nor responsibility. It controls Canon lenses reliably and Birger Engineering was terrific in handling support. This mount and controller are in perfect working order and the system sold for $2000 3 months ago.
