    Hello all -

I'm running a test, aimed at looking at the differences in the RED vs the Canon cameras, vs the HVX. The main goal of the tests will be to correctly process all footage in post-production, and see how far each can be pushed in color. I know that the strength of the RED is the REDCODE, and just want to see how much better it is than the h.264 and DVCPRO.

I owned Red #2915 but sold due to other opportunities that arose. We are looking for a RED and REDUSER in the NYC area that would like to come out shooting with us for a day. Please refer to my other forum post for more information:

    Thanks!

    Hi,

If it were me I would replace the HVX with an EX1.

Which HVX ? But yes I would definitely compare an EX1 also. I would also add a NanoFlash to the EX1 and compare at 50Mbs and 100Mbs. The EX1 camera has no business being that good for what it is but Im pleased it is.
