I had a funny serendipitous thing happen just now that I thought I'd share...

I've been thinking about buying a Hollywood Microdolly, and I typed "Microdolly for sale" and the Google results returned a B&H add labled Microdolly for sale.

Well with B&H you never know, so I click on the link and it returned this page:

For those of you old enough to have worked in B&W still photography you'll remember that this stuff was the best thing going for pushing Tri-X for night sports photography etc. And the fixer is a smell that will remain with you forever.

It's been a loooong time since I thought about the many hours in the darkroom pushing to make the deadline for the local paper.

yep... fond memories for me as well.... I was really into Pyro for a while as well.

One of my favorite memories of my lab was when I had to print 4000 color 8X10's with an ortho for type on the print.... I figured out that I'd walked 14 miles in a 10'X15' lab in one day... in total darkness... from enlarger to the kreonite. Good times. Whenever I here David Bowie's Station to Station I get a total flashback as it was one of the only cassette tapes I had in the lab.
