I thought of going with Stage 3, trade in my Red One and get the Epic-X..

However with the new sensor upgrade for the Red, I rather get the new sensor instead. But Im not certain if its of much benefit for me to then trade in my Red agaisnt the Epic-X, since even though I get 0.5K more pixels to play with, its the same sensor I already got. So I wonder if there is a possibility to do another stage. Namely keeping a Red One MX, and get the Epic FF35 instead of the Epic X (with a price tag matching this option of course)..

Well, as I said.. I just thought I might ask

Aaah, RED: never has a d-cinema cam been more simple to use, nor more confusing to buy!

PS: Speaking hypothetically for a moment, let's say I purchased a used, low serial number RED One, before Halloween 2009, originally owned by someone who had waited to take delivery until firmware build 16 was the "release build." If I then returned the camera to RED for official inspection and transfer of ownership (on or before Halloween), how can I determine my place in line for the upgrade program? Does the answer change if I'm not the second owner? And can I still get a 12% discount on a Scarlet, assuming I stand on one leg twirling a live chicken over my head while placing the order and don't take delivery during any month that has an "R" in it?
