    Hi Red team,

I am interested how many iris blades the Red 300mm lens has & are the blades rounded or straight sided.

I am curious how the Bokeh will be, will it match better with Ultra Primes or Cooke S4's better?

    My best

you might look at post #56 ... you can see down the 300mm lens - it appears to be stop down slightly - you can see the blades

Take a look at this photo:

It seems like about 12 curved blades.

The fstop-tstop conversion is not hard once you get used to a specific lens. Start with your meter, then set the lens there and figure how much you have to open up to get a pleasing image, that's your conversion. Then remark the lens barrel. Remember this isn't a film camera and it is by nature an expensive TTL light meter with millions of cells.

There have been remarks that only the early primes will have F.
    The zooms already have T.

true. i was also surprised when we got our first angenieuxs zooms with "only" f. If one shoots digital, you can measure the output anyhow more precise than any indicator could show.

However, when working without DIT or with an digital beginner or when using the red lenses on an arri 35mm film not sensor camera, T is highly appreciated.

On other news - the zooms had feet on it, not meters, if i saw that correctly.
