Musetex Red Rocket MobileSuite (since RED will get on my case so we call it RR MobileSuite)

If you are on facebook, I posted my new integration (meant to be public last November but I was too busy to test) with RED Rocket™, MacBookPRO, Magma ExpressBox2 and SmallTree GraniteSTOR. It's really really sensational.

I know you, Sanjin, know that this ExpressBox2 works at x8 speed when you connected to Mac Pro unlike other expansion boxes. So no compromise on Red Rocket's speed when you connect this box to Mac Pro AND gives you extra X8 PCIe slot.

With a display like TVLogic XVM-245W or LVM-243W, you can calibrate them both with DVI, HDSDI and HDMI connections with proper Colorimator like K10/Calman. So whatever way you monitor will have proper calibration. They also will work as preview monitor while you shoot with RED ONE. We've been getting happy words from our clients when we take those monitors to jobs, so we see very good points about the monitor.

Oh Simon, you probably skipped on reading the second photo that TVLogic is working via HDSDI from RED ROCKET's HDSDI output. That will give you portable but very precise (depending on the room condition you are in) one light grading environment.

I've been actually using the Magma ExpresBox2 with Mac Pro having the RED ROCKET and other cards like MXO2 PCIe card, Blackmagicdesign's Multibrdige Pro card, SmallTree's 10gb ethernet card, LSI's miniSAS card for LTO4 connection. They're all working fine.

    Kaku,

you can connect HP Dreamcolor that is true 30bit color monitor using
AJA Hi5-3G HD-SDI to HDMI converter and get much better color control over your footage
because HP Dreamcolr is 10bit per channel

the world’s only 30-bit color-critical LCD built on HP DreamColor Engine technology

and TV Logic XVM-245W has "only"

    10-bit, 1,073,741,824 Colors Support.

And HP Dreamcolor is a fraction of TV Logic XVM-245W price.

    Just count on that facts.
