    Kaku,

    sorry and I've got it.

But also that's exactly a sort of dealer's destiny that we can find here at the forum so often.

    Hi Luca, thanks.

Update on the choice of the PCIe card for the second slot. I tested the Calidigit RAID card and didn't work (although it worked when Magma was connected to a Mac Pro), so I installed a SATA/eSATA card instead. This worked flawlessly and I'm going out to Akihabara now to pick up RAIDON Pro Drive that provides RAID1 or RAID0 for Mac Pro with two 2.5 inch drives, but I'm going to put this in to Magma and connect it to the internal SATA of the PCIe card. I have to be careful with the operation temperature of this drive though.

Ken, it's not quiet. I'm thinking of changing the fans.

    Chris,

It's the 12 drive storage, 12 port 1gb ether switch with two 10gb port (one is used to connect the switch and the Xserve, but one of the dual port on Xserve is connected to another Mac Pro client) and the Xserve. Did Paul get in touch with you?

Ratoc SATA/eSATA card worked and I got a hardware raid1/0 box for internal mounting (made to fit in the floppy drive bay of PC) and installed that in the magma and worked well (not anything superb comparing to using RAID card but actually be able to connect any eSATA drives is very convenient for location copying). Now I have to figure out the cost.
