My guess is "yes" to the hard stops and "no" the electronic contacts.

Great to hear that. I hope the aperture ring is not as smooth as it looks. I am afraid the iris would be hard to turn without much friction on the metal ring.

In any event, it's a piece of great work. Please let us know as soon as this adapter ships, thank you.

    hi Everyone,

Finally I retired from the army couple days ago,( goodbye to tanks and my rifle)
Now I can concentrate on the producing and offering better service
Nikon G adapter is lasering mark, and will be ready on stock soon. The price is $210, higher than F adapter, because the producing of it is more difficult and it has more parts.
However, I am not satisfying with this edition.
The construction of iris ring is way too complex. So it is going to be on sale for introducing price $180 USD/ per. While supplies last.
Next time I will improve the construction to let it be more simple.

I am now also making OCT19 adapter, when it is done, I will focus on producing rehousing lenses.

below is pictures of rehousing phototype, it is now still in design
    I will keep working harder
    thank you very much

    Tom,

What lenses are you planning to rehouse? Which mount PL or A-mount?

The three zooms would be great.

    17-35mm f2.8
    28-70mm f2.8
    70-200mm f2.8

Either the Canon L or Nikon. That set in PL with proper gears and manual iris would be awesome.

I'm rehousing prime lens, I choose the lens which has the best optics resolution.
Nikon 24/1.4 G (not sure yet)
    35mm TBA
    50mm TBA
    Sony 85/1.4 ZA
    Sony 135/1.8 ZA
They are expensive, but I need their optics quality.

    And zoom lens will choose:
    Nikon 14-24 G
    Sony 24-70 ZA
    Nikon 70-200 G

All of them will have PL mount, and could be added A or F mount on the rear.
I don't like the green and red chromatic dispersion on Canon lenses, and iris will be difficult to deal with.
All rehousing will be cine-style(gears, front diameter....), and cover FF35. It won`t have electronic contact, electronic contact brings trouble, and all mechanically could let it work until next century.
    Thanks

Why did you chose the Sony 24-70 over the Nikon 24-70? I used the Nikon on a feature resently and was very pleased. Also it would probably match nicely with the Nikon 14-24 and 70-200... Anyway I'm looking forward to these lenses!

off topic: Do you know if there is a way to change the mount on Canon HDSLRs to Nikon? Or if there are good adapters with the right FFD?

That sounds awesome! Will you be able to change the rotation of the focus gearing on the Nikons or will they rotate backwards from cine standard?

What about expanding the focus rotation? All those AF lenses have a very short focus throw.

Wow! This is awesome. I'll gladly send you a sigma 24mm 1.8 with broken autofocus if it helps your quest.

Sigma might not be a bad
    Option...they have:
    20mm 1.8
    24mm 1.8
    28mm 1.8
    30mm 1.4
    50mm 1.4
    85mm 1.4

Looking forward to trying some Allstar PL primes!
