Plus 8 has ordered 20 RED ones and many RED PL lenses will be purchased for the Panavision 's Cameras........the price .....it's so irresistible..

Thanks RED 's business policy to cut all the Distributor's and agent 's commission.

Can it work in ASIA ? CHINA ? HKG ? Thailand ?

    Who's know better than .........................

Does the Red need S16 lenses for shooting 2K at 100fps? or shall we put it that way:
For shooting 2K at RedCode you may even use S16 lenses, you don't necessarily need 35mm lenses but you may also use 35mm lenses since all 35mm lenses can work on S16.
You can look at the red web site page
    http://www.red.com/cameras/format_options
This is my interpretation to format option chart stated by Red.
I must admit it is not so clear maybe because it is all written on a black background.
The black background in the web site was my first reject to the Red project that is why it took me sometime to be more involved in it.

In windowed 2K mode, you can use 35mm lenses... and/or lenses that only cover the smaller windowed area such as Super-16 lenses which would vignette for the entire sensor area. The depth of field / field of view would be similar for shooting in Super-16, in other words, a 50mm lens would behave more like a telephoto than it would if you were shooting in 4K mode using the full sensor area.

The only difference between using a 25mm 35mm cine lens and a 25mm lens made for Super-16 cameras, for example, would be how much it vignettes in the 35mm cine frame area -- the 35mm cine lens would be designed to cover that area but the Super-16 lens doesn't have to and therefore is usually a physically smaller lens. Otherwise, the only difference is that a 25mm has a less wide view in the 2K windowed area than it does in the bigger full sensor area because the lens image is essentially being cropped down. Therefore in 2K windowed mode, you'd probably want to own some shorter focal lengths to get wide-angle images.

Not sure if 2/3" B4 lenses cover the 2K windowed area but probably.

Poor you... like they say, never judge a book by its cover. Hopefully you must have learnt a thing or two from your whole Red experience.
