Schedule Update?

when did they take the latest off of may or june? i know that wasnt set in stone, neither has any other date in teh last two years, but when did someone say differently? just curious

They were anticipating May, June for Scarlet before they had the problems with the first ASIC run in November I think. Then they were anticipating the Tattoo beta program starting around the end of the year. At this point I don't think anyone will even suggest a schedule until Tattoos are in the field and everything is looking pretty solid and trouble free in the beta tests. Hopefully we will at least get a progress report soon.

The first asic issues occurred earlier in november before they announced the may/june idea. I agree it's obviously not the official report and until tattoos come around we won't have a good idea of the actual release date, but I keep reading people saying that it's been stated as "late summer" or "fall" and I just searched through all of jannard's posts dating back to the november announcement and found nothing of the sorts said from him. I just wanted to know what the last word from him was really. Sorry for the confusion.

Yep, Jarred did give an estimated time line didn't he? Who knows, they may still be pretty close to that one. I certainly hope so too. Should know more by NAB for sure.

At the Feb 13th RED day, they made it pretty clear that the Scarlet was going to be at least a couple months past the previous May/June timeline.

I think in one of the sessions I did say "If we don't make summer, I'll be suicidal (tongue in cheek)". A bit over the top to make the point that we are late and it will kill me (figuratively) if we don't finish up by then. You had to be there. This is why I don't do magazine interviews... :-)

i was at that session of red day, it was pretty funny. when the q and a session was going on i could literally feel the elephant in the room was the scarlet release question and as soon as the youngest dude in the room stepped up and asked the audience shuddered and everyone kinda laughed nervously. it seemed as if that wasn't a question that should be asked yet it was the question everyone wants an answer to. Jannard did make it clear that the scarlet is a priority which was good enough for me.
