AFAIK, the Alexa records internally [behind the door on the smart side].

    Brook,

unfortunately Alexa can't record internally and there is still no any media shawn at the presentation in Paris.

Actually there is only 2 x HD-SDI out on back of the camera and that's how the footage screened at the show was recorded on a separate HD-SDI recorder device.

Arri Alexa shoots at St. Peter’s Basilica and Sistine Chapel in Rome.

I love how Arri have the rod support built into the camera, saves on weight and space.

Would like to see EPIC mock up with FF & Monitor as you have to have a monitor to see what your shooting and a FF to control the focus, else you're not going to make very good looking images :-)

Fair enough Sanjin, perhaps I've only heard conjecture.

Either way, I'm absolutely thrilled about both of these cameras. Cannot wait to start working with them.

    Brook,

I am always trying to be fair and just to present facts only.

    Here we go with Alexa:

At the BVE this weekend Arri told me the recording format for the Alexa would be internal and details would be released at NAB.
The mock up i saw of the Av Plus was very promising, its basicaly the same shape/size as an Arri 416. What i saw of the sensor was very impressive.

Not so sure about that...but it's more about this German technology that comes from the same city Munich or München.
