  1. #1 BOMB EVF?
I was just wondering... according to the module prices and i know they are subject to change, but the BOMB EVF is currently listed at 3200 bucks, I'm guessing maybe this is aimed more toward the EPIC then the SCARLET, but my question is... are there different features that accompany the BOMB EVF that make it more expensive then the EVF for the RED ONE that is listed at 2,950? I know we don't know a whole lot about the accessories yet but maybe someone can give their insight, and or would the EVF they make for the RED ONE be compatible with the SCARLET or the EPIC?

From what i've read the BEVF is MUCH smaller than the original EVF. Also it is heated which should be extremely useful during the exterior shooting days. And most obvious of the differences is that it has a sharper picture, but from what little I've read of it, not by a tin, just slightly better.

I possibly wouldn't even consider the EVF for the Scarlet; it will be an enormous and will possibly be an eye sore to an otherwise minimal system.

Good EVF's are expensive. You have to have something to view with though.
I'm thinking of using the new 2.8" LCD with an aftermarket eyepiece for a poor man's EVF.

The RED EVF is by far the best EVF I've ever looked through. That the BOMB EVF is better, and significantly smaller (RED EVF is a beast) for only $250 more, makes it worth every penny.

It's an expensive investment to make initially if you are looking to create a budget package, but I would put that high on my list of accessories to get.

If I can swing it I definitely intend to get one. I generally prefer shooting with an EVF anyway if I have to choose between EVF and LCD. Red's price is similar to top line EVF's from Sony and Panasonic. Not overpriced for a bullet proof under all conditions piece of shooting hardware.

The new RED EVF looks ~3-4x smaller than the original EVF. The design seems to fall in line with their new philosophy of modularity and light weight camera systems that don't expend on functionality. So putting the old EVF on a Scarlet/EPIC system will look a bit odd as the EVF is as long as a few of the modules RED will be selling.

AFAIK the bomb EVF is the same resolution as the RED EVF. 1280 X 848, so I'm not sure how it could be sharper.

I think they upped the screen refresh rate a bit so you don't see color artifacts when you move your eye.

Where are prices listed for SCARLET accessories? Or are the accessories speculative based on current prices for RED One accessories?
