$40,000 for a single used lens! I thought only Zeiss Master Primes were that pricey. I'm sure it's a reasonable asking price, just didn't realize a single lens could cost that much. I've heard of prime sets costing over $150k but that's still usually less than $30k a lens right?

This is a zoom, not a prime lens...Dont look for an Optimo 24-290, they run $65k for "a single lens"

This Cooke 15-40mm is like having a mini S4 Set.
Optically equal to the S4 primes.
Not as popular as the Optimo 15-40mm because of the weight but still a gorgeous zoom.

    BTW - Optimo 24-290mm = $60,750

Just curious, what is the most requested zoom lens on feature rentals? Is the most requested/rented also the very best zoom lens ever made or is there another?

    $60,750 + all the "accessories" you need to rent one= $65k :)

((interesting how the U.S. price went up due to the dollars weakness, but it never came back down as the dollar improved.))

Guess your right once you add some accessories (Carry Handle, Motor Bracket Kit, Lens Support, Iris Rods, ect.).
I was just referencing what I sell them for NEW w/Custom Flight Case.
