I just got a BDS power supply (V2) in a kit I bought. Being the hacker that I am, I immediately opened it up (2 screws). I noticed that there is a pair of jumpers that tie to the orange "unswitched" outlet. By simply switching the jumper to the other option, the unswitched outlet becomes a switched outlet. There is also a black ring inside (on a sticky pad) to swap out with the orange (hot) ring on the outside so you know that it is switched. Pretty cool. Not sure if this holds for V3, but I bet it does.

I also came across this: http://www.powerwerx.com/tools-meter...dc-inline.html

at $59, its a lot less expensive that the $200 BDS Remote Meter. Just a few snips and some solder and you are in business. It displays a lot more info than the Remote Meter as well.

Cheers
