There has been talk on this board about the ability to run Metafuze from command line. I have found the data from running with an XML batch but I have not found any reference to command line arguments other than an XML batch. Does anybody have this information, it is not in the User Manual.

    Thanks,

The only argument is -debug which gives you a verbose report as the process is running. Not too useful to humans but if you are writing a batch file to automate things you could take the output and parse it to get the estimated finish time, current file and frame, etc.

    Thanks Igor.

That is all that I had found and as you say, it is not too useful. But I appreciate your answer.

    Hi Joe,

we use Metafuze with Prime-Focus "Deadline" rendermanagement software. One of our scripting heroes even wrote a script before the current version (4) came out to automate MXF conversion.

Deadline is for free if you only want use 2 nodes, check it out...

    Hope this helps,

    Timor

    Hi Timor

This solves my problem. I am a strong believer in not re-inventing the wheel.

I forgot about this yesterday. Here is a batch file I wrote several months ago to automate some functions but it's not really a full network render manager for metafuze.

I can't really help you with the command-line arguments, but I've written a basic network render manager for MetaFuze, it's called "BatchFuze" and there is more information here:
    http://dylanreeve.com/videotv/2010/n...-metafuze.html

It's current in a Beta stage while I wait for feedback on it's effectiveness. If you're in a position it test it, let me know and I'll provide a copy for you.
