I love RocketCineX. It's super fast, snappy, intuitive, easy to use. Are you guys planning to keep going forward with RocketCineX or will it eventually be merged with RedcineX? Why is RocketCineX so fast with renders and playback whereas RedcineX is much slower?

We'll only be doing bug fixes for rocketcinex. All the effort is going into redcinex.
RedcineX is actually faster rocketcine in some areas and will eventually get an optimization pass and be faster overall.

Cool. Thanks. Is there a way to grade my footage during playback? I remember an older version of Redcine being able to do this. Everytime I try on the new apps, playback pauses. Maybe I'm doing something wrong..

I don't remember rocketcine doing that.
Grading while playback wouldn't be very smooth.

I like RocketCineX for cleaner and better looking GUI. RedCineX is more clustered and not very nicely manageable.
Is interface going to change or just evolve around what it looks like now?

Probably said it about 10 times already... yes, we will do another pass on the UI after we've gotten through a bunch of the features in first.

That's funny because on my machine RedCine-X 158 is much snappier than RocketCine-X. RocketCine-X feels like driving a car with a loose steering wheel; scrubbing through the timeline is like a big tape drive that takes time to slow down, adjusting controls takes time to update and so on.

Yes, RedCine could and still can (just checked) adjust colors while playing back the footage, which is really nice. Shame we don't have that anymore.
