    Hi all,

We are transcoding to DNxHD 36 offline Quicktimes in Red Rushes and exporting ALEs...

But when we import the ALEs and batch import in Avid it takes quite a while to create MXF files from the DNxHD Quicktimes. I thought it should be able to do a fast import, since there's no re-encoding to be done?

Are there some settings we need to change? Have we missed a step?

    Thanks,

    T

Make sure the scaling is set on RED RUSHES to 1920 x 1080. In Avid make sure you are set for "image size is correct" and 601/709 color space. Those are the two areas that will cause a re-transcode.

Michael P has been an asset to film making for a very long time... If he sent me a invoice for ALL his good advice I would be in trouble ;-)
