Having a strange issue on set - when the new Mysterium-X RED is in either redcode 28 or 36, at 2K 2:1 on the RED raid there is a flashing white frame from 118fps to 120fps. There are white flashes and whatever image is live on the screen will freeze and stutter back and forth over a couple of frames.

All other framerates work without fail - it's only 118-120fps that we're seeing this issue with.

    Anyone else have this problem?

Ah okay, that seems to be it. Cam was picked up yesterday from the rental house, in the AM, I guess they didn't have a chance to update it. Thank god we've got a cool-headed DP who worked around the situation! (I once worked on a shoot where the DP wrapped the RED after one minor glitch!)

Same build for me and the same problem. I heard from RED and they are aware of this problem and have supposedly fix it in new builds, I'm still on 30.4.1 so I haven't tested that claim myself.

It is fixed in 30.5.0. So worth upgrading to that official release a.s.a.p.

We had a cam for the shoot on the weekend that was tested and put together the day before the update came out. As a rule I don't change builds after we've started shooting, and since 120fps wasn't mission-critical, we shot at 100fps and had the rest of the shoot run smoothly.

The camera is now 30.5.0 and loving it.
