I wonder whether this will push the price of the 16GB cards down too?

That's what usually happens. Also used CF cards will get quite cheap for those wanting to enjoy the larger capacities.

I don't think I will have a need for SSD...

Gotta say, there are some nice shapes forming on these cameras.
Really like the 'Buck Rodgers' cowling over the fan exhaust, and the monitor jack bulging out from the signature ribs.
Looks like there is a little extra bump/light protection around the front of the LCD too?

Damn Jarred, I can't wait to see what you hit us with on Alexa's launch day given what you have previewed so far.

We will respectfully let Alexa have her big coming-out day tomorrow uninterrupted... :)

I keep seeing this vent on top, what would happen if you where caught in a down pour? would that just flood inside the camera, or is there some design to stop that?

You would of course always, like any camera try to keep it dry, but a big hole in the top would be a concern? Still it's better than the redone system that suffered a bit.

I like the fact the cables aren't coming out form the side of the camera anymore, and the LCD screen is recessed for protection.
