More and more I'm trying to move over to RedCine-X. But I'm currently rendering out abut 9hrs of footage and it's been going painfully slow, or slower than I'm used to.

So exporting to ProRes 422HQ on a clip that was 1min, here are my results.

    RedCine-X (194) : 2min 16sec
    RocketCine-X (1740) : 56sec

Can anyone else confirm that the renders are slower on RedCine-X thus far?

    Oh.. 8core 3.2ghz, 14GB ram, redrocket.

    Thanks.

I can confirm from my 2 day experience with the new RedCinex 194 is painfully slow.

    Exporting 4.5k 16:9 Redcode 46 to 1080p/24DnxHD_36
works out at about 3 to 1 data transfer
Using a well used Quad Core, 3ghz, 5Gb Ram

This seems to be the case for me as well. I'm not sure I understand the intended place of RedCine-X vs. RocketCine-X, but on my 2.93 8-core Nehalem MacPro with a RED Rocket card, RocketCine is roughly twice as fast as RedCine. Should that be the case?

Is the speed difference a bug? Or is RedCine-X (221) just behind RocketCine-X (1740) in optimization?
