HOLY SHIT
I expected some great images to come off this sensor based on what I've seen here and what I've read, but DAMN.
Being able to shoot at 3200 ISO with what I can only describe as almost imperceptible organic texture instead of noise or even grain - blew my head off.
ISO 5000 even works for some looks!
Kudos to RED. They could've sold a whole new model of RED One with the MX sensor in it, and that would've been more than fair. But the fact that I was able to upgrade my 2 year old camera to the latest imaging technology is why I spend my money at RED.
EPIC is looking gorgeous - wish I could be in Vegas tomorrow to witness the future, but alas - I'm picking my jaw off the floor with the MX sensor!
