    Hello,
I had one of my Red brick batteries fall from the magliner onto a concrete sidewalk today [THANK YOU Switronix dual-battery mount] and since that fall, it will not take a charge. The RED charger shows a red LED indicator for that brick.
Has anyone had any luck with RED repairing their own brick batteries?
The side LED battery charge indicator works & states the battery is down to 2 bars of remaining power...but it will not take a charge.
    Please advise.

I can't find the thread, but someone here posted that they themselves could repair the pins on the battery, but nothing internally. I have a battery that is dead now because it was dropped. Just sits on the shelf now. Would love to know if it's possible to have repaired.

I can most likely repair that for you, but I'm located in Denmark so shipping the battery here might be quite expensive.

I'm pretty sure the problem is that one of the wires underneath the top lid has come off. They're small, flimsy and for some weird reason glued to the shell, so when you drop the battery and the pack moves inside the battery then the wires will come loose. So if you know someone who knows electronics and batteries then get him to take a look at it. Be advised, though, that fiddling with batteries can cause fires and explosions ;-)

Zak - you might know as much (or more) than me. PM me if you need the low-down on my findings. I want to share as much of the info I have for the benefit of all REDusers. Share the love, right? ;-)

Actually, if anyone wants we've got a few spare Switronix replacement terminals we didn't use, to fix Red batteries that won't take a charge due to the plastic around the original terminals getting melted into the terminal etc.

    As per this thread:

    http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=34141

I'll ship them for US$50 per terminal (postage included in that price) to whoever wants one or more.

PM me if you want them! (I have six available as of this post).

    Cheers,

    Paul

buy the V90RM or V140RM from Bebob Rouge - you can throw them about 1m down to the floor, they never will break. They are really cool at all.
www.bebob-rouge.com - we have them in rental and really less problems with fallen batteries....

I just repaired another RED Brick that had fallen. Once again - one of the wires on the back of the battery had come loose. Would greatly appreciate if those battery packs weren't glued to the shell; would be much faster, inexpensive and also safer to repair them if that was the case.
