  1. #1 TIFF export speed with RED Rocket?
    Hello all,

I did my first ever export to TIFF some moments ago with Windows build 104 (newer ones don't work on my Win7 64-bit for some reason).

    Source: 764 frames (31.86 sec) of 4K 2:1 23.98fps
    Export: TIFF 2048x1024x48b

With RED Rocket enabled and outputting to a fast NAS over Gigabit LAN, exporting process took 195 seconds. That feels slow to me but I can't be sure without any reference points. Thoughts, anyone?

    Thanks!

Oddly enough, running b104 first did something to make b194 more stable. I found out that I could export TIFFs from b194 if I loaded a clip in the player, but didn't touch the player timeline slider at all. Build 194 did the export half a minute faster, but that's still a far cry from "realtime".

I was also pleased to notice that whereas b104 outputs 1920x1080x48b TIFFs with incorrect AR (it stretches the 2:1 image vertically to fill the 16:9 frame), b194 outputs 1920x1080x24b, and adds black borders above and below to keep correct AR.

Oh... b194 exported only 760 of the 764 frames.
