Take a look at this rough cut using quite a bit of gags on the red.

    Would love feedback

I think the footage look great, Marc! Congrats. It makes me want to go try out a lens baby sometime soon.

How many lights did you have behind the band and what were they? Looks awesome.

Were the lens flares added in post or were they in the footage?

We had that wall of lights in back of the band made up of abandoned lights in unused studio - (top) 9 - 2k's, (middle) 8 - 1k's and (bottom) 8 1k scoops

We also had an 8k soft box for a fill and a number of smaller lights 650's and 1k's to bring out detail as needed

We pretty much kept plugging lights in until we ran out of distro cable and than made lighting designs based on that

The footage is uncolored as of yet and the flares are all in the footage - used a sungun as needed add flares when necessary

There's a whole narrative portion that the editor is still putting together

    Thanks for taking a look!

    that's pretty awesome.

how much of a learning curve is there for shooting with the lens baby? does it take a long time to set up lens baby shots? I'm definitely interested in trying one out.

can't wait to see the finished music video.

LB is so easy to use

I tested w it for less than a day and found the style of application that met my needs no prob

It's the best $100 I ever spent on eBay

Would've cost me more to rent for the time I used it on my set

You use your meter to grab your stop and drop in the correct aperture ring and go
It's a fun gag to have in your tool kit

The shots look a little cramped. For such a big lighting set up you never see it all.

It was an aesthetic choice for me. The set-up is big but when I planned the shoot for me it was all about details and tight compositions. I definitely have the coverage to go wider. In the final cut I may very well. Once I see how the narrative portion fits I'll have to address such issues as my shot selections as well as things like pacing and grading (etc. etc.)

    Thanks for taking a look!
