It would be great if Steven Soderbergh's Camp, Or Peter jackson's camp would join Reduser and fill us in on their experiences with the Redone. I am dying to hear and see some footage form The Argentine. I would also like to know after the experience with the Redone is it still "the camera I’ve been waiting for my whole career"?

I would also like to know if PJ is planning on using the REDone on any future projects.

    Hi purefilm,
Chances of seeing footage from these guys would be slim.
A trailer from the finished film would probably be the first
    thing available.

I have a feeling that the Red will be mostly used on low to moderate budget features, commercials and image film but not on the big high budgets movies. you can't come to a set with big-name-stars and shoot with a camera that looks like a big super 8 camera, and I don't mean with its image outcome but the way the camera body looks. This is the same reason why most of the big high budgets movies are being shoot with Panavision and not Arriflex or Moviecam. It is not that Arriflex or Moviecam will produce a poorer image quality it is for what called in Hollywood "standard of the indusry". I have been working on those features when the producer didn't have much money to pay the crew but was insisting on a Panaflex G2 though he could have a newer Arriflex or Moviecam compact for the same price range.
This is OK with me, I don't think the Red should be on the big movies it should find its natural place in the industry.

And exactly what makes you think Red won't become the digital equivalent of Panavison and be found on big budget movies... ? As far as I can tell, its headed in exactly that direction.
