Motion Control Adventure

Hey Everyone,
I thought I'd share this with you. Our team has built ourselves a nice little remote head and servo system, and we're testing it out for motion control applications. This is our first test. 25mm RPP, basic one speed pan. We experienced no major problems, except for a little backlash which we anticipated.

The system is small and very portable, easy to set up. We're building it with Epic in mind, along with the rest of the 5d/SI2k small camera lineup, as well as stop motion applications. It functions successfully with a R1 and a RPP, but thats about its max load. Having an Epic should open up a lot of possibilities.

This test took us 2 hours to setup, shoot, and composite.

probably not going to be selling them, this will more likely be an in-house tool, or go out into the world with an operator.
